DATA COLLECTED FROM EARTH TIME, 1955 - 1965
We began receiving the first color signals. Why they only began sending these now is unclear. It may have to do with laws. Human leaders create these laws and humans use these laws to dictate their behavior, much like computers.
At any rate, we now know that humans do not see only in black and white, but, probably in three colors as well, based on the wavelength peaks of the signals. Unfortunately, we cannot experience these the same way as humans with our visual systems. Although we both have tri-chromatic vision, and we both experience blue and green, humans see in a low-frequency color they call “red,” whereas we see in ultraviolet.
Color wasn’t the only new development in the signals from space. A new type of encryption known as “Earth and Rotation” or simply “Earth” began transmitting. “Everyone is talking about Earth and Rotation,” is the phrase the humans used. It seemed that after the second world war, humanity had finally united under a single banner of Earth.
Everyone was not on board. Many more tribal minded elders spoke out against Earth and Rotation, claiming that it was corrupting the youth. The ideals of the new government were as follows: Procreation, Chemicals, and Defiance of Authority.
How a government could have defiance of authority as one of its core beliefs was a mystery to us. Our society rarely disagreed and when we did we deferred to our leaders. How could a society that was constantly at odds with itself hope to accomplish anything at all? It may be that allowing rebellion was a way to appease the dissenting factions and unite the tribes that had so recently been at war.
One of these rebellions was the Civil Rights Movement.
In America there were humans called “Black” and “White,” Though both of these terms were inaccurate, especially now that we were receiving color signals. Long ago, White humans had held Black humans captive and forced the Black humans to do work.
This was a cruel and often lethal practice that, much like the Nazis, outpaced anything our own ancestors, even in the most warlike tribes, have ever done. At first we’d thought it was another piece of “fiction,” but it has been repeated and interspersed though enough programs that by now it is clear that this is not the case.
Though the Black humans were now free, they were not free of problems. Currently, the Black humans were not allowed to do certain things such as choose leaders or sit in certain places on vehicles. In addition, human education was distributed very inefficiently with the Black Humans educated in separate badly maintained schools.
But how these problems were resolved showed us how truly admirable humans could be.
The Black humans had a king known as Dr. Martin Luther Jr. It has been stated that Black humans were not allowed to choose leaders, but kings become leaders based on genetics rather than any decision process.
This king believed in peacefully gathering and disagreeing, rather than using violence. This would be less remarkable if his enemies had been nonviolent as well, but they were not. Black protestors were often attacked. But still, King Martin did not retreat or retaliate!
And this strategy worked! In 1965 the American president signed a document which gave the Black humans the ability to participate in decision making including choosing leaders.
We could learn a lot about violence from humans, if that were ever necessary, sure. But we could also learn a lot about nonviolence.

We need to talk about cartoons. These have been around for some time, but Sunny was unable to make heads or tails of them. Here is a collection of the notes they left:
>The first thing anyone notices about cartoons is their visual strangeness. They may be tailored to a bizarre secondary visual system that humans have.
>Certain people in cartoons have strange abilities. They seem to be able to warp space-time as they can move between two points instantly and keep so many large objects behind their backs that it would be impossible to store them were they stored in conventional space. Why are these abilities never seen outside of cartoons? Are they only detectable with the humans’ special vision?
Indeed, the scope of the abilities of cartoons go even beyond space-warping and anvil-surviving that Sunny saw. Superman is an alien from the planet Krypton. He is nigh invincible stronger than a human after consuming the drug, Spinach, and possessing an array of powers. He is indistinguishable from a human despite being of another species. The Kyrptonians certainly must share a common ancestor with humans. Unfortunately, their planet was destroyed, so we’ve made little effort to locate it.
We can now dismiss any speculation about secondary human visual systems, however. I have uncovered how cartoons are created, and I anticipate that my findings will be hard for some of you to believe, but get this: Cartoons are a series of drawings stitched together into a video. You are probably wondering how humans are able to draw something so inaccurately as to distort it into “cartoon,” and then repeat the process with exactly the same “mistakes” each time, and I can only posit that this is just how the human mind works.
Knowing that cartoons are created, rather than recorded, it's possible that they are used to depict events which were not originally recorded. This makes sense with the Flintstones, which documents the lives of a group of ancient humans. It is less clear why this was necessary for the Jetsons, but the humans may also simply find cartoons fun.
Indeed, some humans and their affiliates, such as The Doctor, have access to time travel technology and in fact *have* recorded prehistoric events.
There’s a reason we hide our transmissions as Earth has not. The Doctor has faced off against the Daleks, who have not only committed atrocities, but as far as we’ve seen, are entirely incapable of empathy or kindness. There are many such species in the universe. We have no word for this, but humans do: evil.
All of that said, the signals our planet has been sending out since we discovered Earth are beyond worrisome. But the cat is already out of Pandora's bag on that one.
